Harborside Psych

Behavioral Health Care Across Cape

Cape Cod is not one community. There are more than a dozen towns and villages, each with its own rhythm, and the rhythm changes with the season. Harborside works with patients across the Cape by video, from an initial evaluation through ongoing medication management, therapy, or eating disorder care, without asking anyone to add a drive to Route 6 onto an already full week.

A retired couple in Chatham has a different week than a family running a landscaping business in Sandwich, and both look different again from a household in Provincetown in August versus February. Osterville and Forestdale are both villages or towns on this list, and they are not the same place: one runs on harbor views and second homes, the other on year-round working families. Care that fits the Cape has to fit that range, which is part of why a private-pay, video-based practice is a reasonable option here: appointments are scheduled around a household’s actual calendar, not a waiting room’s, and the same clinician can be seen in January as in July.

Harborside Psychiatrics is based in Yarmouth Port, on Cape, and delivers every appointment by secure video.

Towns we work with

We work with patients throughout Barnstable County, including Hyannis, Osterville, Centerville, and Cotuit in Barnstable; Yarmouth Port, South Yarmouth, and West Yarmouth; Dennis and Harwich; Chatham, Orleans, and Eastham on the Lower Cape; Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown at the Outer Cape; and Sandwich (including Forestdale), Bourne, Mashpee, and Falmouth on the Upper Cape. Each town has its own page with local scheduling and clinician information.

What is available in Massachusetts

Massachusetts is the only state where Harborside offers every service the practice provides. If you live anywhere on the Cape, all of the following are available to you:

Who provides your care

Medication management and functional psychiatry are performed by psychiatric nurse practitioners: Rachel Egan, RN PMHNP-BC, who is also Harborside’s clinical director, Emily Pardue, RN PMHNP-BC, and Kirstin Ritchie, RN PMHNP-BC. Each is qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe for mental health conditions.

Therapy and eating disorder work are delivered by the licensed therapy team: Hannah Legesse, LICSW, Tori Mahoney, LMHC, Jacquelyn Duford, LCMHC ATR, and Lexie Carchedi, LCSW. Jacquelyn is also a registered art therapist. Full bios and credentials for each clinician are on the team page.

How telehealth works

Every appointment happens over secure video, from wherever you are on the Cape. Booking starts with a short intake call to match you with the right clinician for medication management, therapy, or both. From there, your prescriber or therapist meets with you on a regular schedule, the same way an in-person appointment would work, without the drive.

Video care also holds up better against the Cape’s own calendar. A follow-up appointment in July does not need to compete with beach traffic on Route 28, and a January storm does not mean rescheduling. You keep the same clinician across the year, whichever half of it you are in.

Getting started

Reaching out starts with a phone call or a request through the website. A member of the team will ask a few questions about what you are looking for and help match you with a prescriber or therapist.

Call 508-876-3448 or visit harborsidepsych.wemarketma.com to get started. Harborside’s home base is at 411 Main St, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675, with every appointment delivered by video.

What it costs

Harborside is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly for appointments. Current fees for an initial and a follow-up appointment are listed on the pricing page, and questions about cost can be answered before anything is booked.
