Harborside Psychiatrics is physically located on Cape Cod, in Yarmouth Port, and the team uses telehealth to reach clients across New England. For Forestdale, that means care built around the village’s actual rhythm, not the version of the Cape that shows up in July brochures. Forestdale is a year-round community inside Sandwich, and the people who live there full time – retirees, families running seasonal businesses, households whose calendar splits sharply between summer work and winter quiet – need a schedule that works in February as well as August.
Medication management from Harborside is delivered entirely by video, from a practice rooted here on the Cape, so a Forestdale schedule built around off-season slowdowns, tourist-season overtime, or retirement doesn’t have to bend around an office visit.
Harborside Psychiatrics is based at 411 Main St in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, and every medication management appointment happens over secure video rather than in person. You’ll need a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and a stable internet connection. That’s the whole technology requirement.
There is no waiting room and no drive to Yarmouth Port. You log in from home, or from wherever you have privacy and a signal.
Medication management at Harborside addresses conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive patterns, and sleep difficulties that affect daily functioning. Appointments also cover ongoing medication support for people already diagnosed and looking for a new prescriber, as well as functional psychiatry approaches that consider nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle factors alongside medication. This is not a full specialty list. If you’re not sure whether your situation fits, that’s a reasonable first question to bring to a consultation.
Your first visit is a clinical evaluation, not a quick prescription refill. Expect questions about your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, current medications or supplements, family history, and what’s going on in your life right now. Your prescriber uses this to arrive at a diagnosis or working impression and to talk through treatment options, including whether medication makes sense and which ones might fit. You’ll leave with a plan, not just a prescription.
Medication management and functional psychiatry at Harborside are performed by psychiatric nurse practitioners: Rachel Egan, RN PMHNP-BC, who is also clinical director, Emily Pardue, RN PMHNP-BC, and Kirstin Ritchie, RN PMHNP-BC. Each is qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe for mental health conditions. Full bios and credentials for each of them are on the team page.
Therapy, including eating disorder work, is delivered by Harborside’s licensed therapy team: Hannah Legesse, LICSW, Tori Mahoney, LMHC, Jacquelyn Duford, LCMHC ATR, and Lexie Carchedi, LCSW. Some Forestdale clients work with a prescriber alone, and others coordinate medication management with therapy from this same team.
Harborside is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly for appointments. Current fees for an initial and a follow-up appointment are listed on the pricing page, and questions about cost can be answered before anything is booked.
If you’re in Forestdale and thinking about medication management, the next step is a consultation to see whether Harborside is a fit. You can review the full medication management service page for more on how appointments work, check the Massachusetts telehealth page for state-specific details, or look at the Cape Cod region page to see how care is organized for other nearby towns. If anxiety is a main concern, the anxiety treatment page has more specifics on that condition.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988. Harborside Psychiatrics does not provide emergency or after-hours care.

No. The first appointment includes a full evaluation, so a prior diagnosis isn’t required to get started.
Yes, with your permission. Many patients keep an existing therapist and use Harborside only for medication management.
It depends on the medication and how you’re responding to it. Some patients are seen monthly at first, then less often once things are stable.
Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice, the same as they would be after an in-person visit.
Harborside is private-pay and doesn’t bill insurance directly. A superbill is available for out-of-network reimbursement, where a plan allows it.
That’s part of ongoing management. Changes are discussed and made together at a follow-up visit, not on your own.
